WE ARE NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR OUR
PASTURED POULTRY CSA!
What is a CSA?
A CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) is a program in which a farm provides each member with a box of food (i.e. veggies, meat, cheese, ect.) on a regular basis (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly) throughout a specified season in exchange for a one time payment up front. The CSA model is truly a win win for both members and farmers.
It provides members with fresh, high quality food grown in their own community, delivered to a convenient location near them, at a wholesale price. This model ensures that members receive their food at its peak of freshness, that the members food dollars stay within their community, and that their food miles are as low as possible.
Meanwhile the CSA model provides the farmer with necessary “seed money” at the beginning of the season when expenses are highest, and it paints a clear picture of what demand will be for the season so the farmer knows exactly how much to produce, thereby eliminating shortfalls and overproduction or waste.
